A Quick Visit

Claire and I had a really quick visit with my Mother-in-Law and Sister-in-Law during their layover at SF airport this past week from their trip to Kansas with Mike to visit Aunt Jeanie and relatives. They made their trip when the harsh blast of Arctic cold air blew thru the mid West. I was told it was COLD....Brrrrr, especially since they live in So Cal where it was in the high 80s, low 90s when they started their trip. I thought it was a bit chilly in SF but since just returning from Kansas, Mike said not. Here are some pictures. I did some quick editing with my new iPhone 6 Plus, the larger screen make it so easy. I've sent them off to be printed and they are going straight into my Project Life album. Boy, Project Life makes preserving our memories so easy.

These are my simple creative card projects.
The snowflake is a flip card made with our Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies in our Holiday Catalog on page 22. Embossed with Northern Flurry in our Annual Catalog on page 226. And this embossing folder, along with many others, is on our Online Extravaganza Doorbuster for only $5 on Monday Nov 24, while supplies last so don't wait too long. Very quick and simple.
The octopus birthday card was a CASE but I can't remember from whom. If it's your card, please leave a comment so I can give you credit for this cute, cute card. Other than the fussy cutting, it is just quick stamping. Isn't is just the cutest?
Lastly, is a swap card. Hard working elf shoes made with the Curly Label punch. Simple cards can be very creative.

A little crafting while nursing my pains

I'm finally able to focus and do some crafting since my nasty fall. The bruises are slowing fading away and my focus and stamina is slowly returning. Here are few awesome pictures I took before my fall.
Our beautiful Golden Gate Bridge from the sea. These is so much more than from my crafting window.
Coit Tower and the San Francisco skyline
Me with AT&T Park in the background. The World Series Game 4 playing that day with the San Francisco Giants and the Kansas City Royals. The San Francisco Giants won that game with a score of 4-3 and went on to win the 2014 World Series in Game 7. What a series!
Our Bay Bridge from the San Francisco side.

Busy with the all the Halloween Treats

The ghost and broom are both made with 2 coffee filters and a tootie roll pop. The Gift Card Envelope thinlit and Curvy Keepsake Box thinlit treat were so easy to make. Love, love my Big Shot...my go to for so many of my crafting projects. My Minion is made with a paper towel roll, everyone just loves him. The Bootiful Occasion matchbook contains a yummy lollipop. And last but not least is my Boo-tiful Bag from my Paper Pumpkin kit.
While I was making all these lovely yummies, I was entertained by the Blue Angels flying by my craft window. I stopped to take a few pictures to share. They were a bit hard to capture since they fly by so fast but I did get a couple good ones. For more details, click here.

Gosh, it's been so long since I last posted. As you probably know, I'm a breast cancer survivor. I regain my physical health by joining a dragon boat team. We practice 3 times a week in the San Francisco Bay at Oyster Point which is somewhere between Candlestick Park and the SF Airport. We have paddled may times to Candlestick Park which is approximately 4 miles round trip. We have also paddled to the SF Airport. I enjoy our evening practices since the waters are a little bit more active and when the wind picks up, it is just so refreshing. The white caps are a little overwhelming and at times are a big challenge. Our big race of the year is the San Francisco International Dragon Boat Festival held at Treasure Island. I had a class with some long time friends this pass weekend. It was long over due. It was so much fun. I had really missed crafting with them and immensely enjoyed our time together. We made several projects, a few more than usual but hey, that's one way to extend our time together. I prepped a few of the projects to shave off some of their prep time. Here's what we made. Do you like them?

This was a card I made at Denise's shoe box meeting. I decided to change it up a little, like it? I just love those acorns with the Crystal Effect.
